| Brief Description of Assignment |

The overall objective of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study is to evaluate the potential environmental and social impacts of the proposed interventions and to formulate an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to mitigate any adverse effects, as well as to obtain the required clearance certificate from the Department of Environment. The EIA study aims to identify and analyze the baseline environmental, ecological, and socio-economic conditions of the project area, assess and predict potential environmental and social impacts resulting from the proposed project activities, and propose effective mitigation measures to avoid, minimize, or compensate for negative impacts. The study also seeks to prepare a comprehensive EMP that outlines mitigation measures, monitoring requirements, and institutional responsibilities. In addition, meaningful stakeholder consultations will be conducted to ensure that the concerns and perspectives of local communities are effectively integrated into project planning and decision-making processes. | Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

Interested consulting firms should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The EOI will be evaluated based on the following: a) Registration and Legal Entitlements of the Firm (Trade License, TIN, VAT Registration, etc.), b) Company Profile, Organizational Structure, Logistics and Availability of Permanent Key Professional Staff, c) Average Annual Turnover (Audited Financial Statement for the last 5 (five) years), d) General Experience of the firm(s) for service over the last 10 (Ten) years. e) Specific Experience of the firm(s) in Similar nature of service (Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of Water Resources, Flood & River Management Projects etc.) over the last 5 (five) years.
Consulting Firm may associate with other firms to strengthen their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a Joint Venture (i.e. all members of the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable) and/or Sub-consultants. Each firm's specific tasks and obligations must be outlined in the joint venture agreement. In case of joint venture, it is preferable to limit the maximum number of firms within 03 (three) in an association including the lead firm.
