INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
1) Development of Training module for Faculty Professional Development training programs.
2) Discipline-wise module development for professional training
3) Procuring learning and teaching materials
4) Preparations of TOR for National and International Trainers and hiring team.
5) Managing Training arranged by UTTA: (1) Professional development training and (ii) Professional development training for senior faculties
6) Draft curriculum and contents on faculty professional development training programs;
7) Provide technical assistance to UTTA management for organizing training programs on faculty professional development;
8) Assisting in drafting an act for establishing UTTA and effort be deployed to expedite the process of enactment of the law by the parliament.
9) Prepare faculty professional development training calendar and action plan;
10) Assist UTTA management for drafting and publishing training materials on faculty professional development;
11) Assist UTTA management for drafting and uploading faculty training related materials and literature on UTTA website;
12) Assist UTTA management in mobilizing a core group of trainers from the university faculty and train them in andragogy techniques;
13) Provide technical assistance to UGC/PMU to prepare an action plan for carrying out the QA mechanism across the entire higher education subsector.
14) Draft a design for academic partnerships and collaboration on QA for SAARC countries’
15) universities.
16) Assist UGC for capacity building on QA mechanism in higher education institutions, faculty and education managers.
17) Draft curriculum and contents on faculty professional development training programs.
18) Faculty professional development training calendar and action plan.
19) Assist UTTA management for drafting and publishing training materials on faculty professional development.
20) Prepare Inception report & work plan, Validated curricula framework, Trainer pool strategy & TOT oversight report, Annual performance report etc.
21) Assist UTTA management for publishing UTTA quarterly newsletter;
22) Any other Faculty Professional Development related tasks to be assigned by the Project Director.

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

Academic:
• PhD degree in any discipline from a recognized university in Bangladesh or abroad.
Experience:
• At least 15 (Fifteen) years of experience in teaching and research in a higher education institution
• Publications of research papers in peer reviewed journals and books on subject taught in University.
• Experience in drafting/updating of curriculum for higher education programs;
• Experience in organizing/conducting training programs for university faculty and developing training contents.
• Knowledge of pedagogy, andragogy and modern teaching-learning methods.
• Communication and presentation skills for disseminating complex subjects to peers;
• Proficiency in English and Bangla writing and speaking;
• Should have computer skills for developing contents in digital formats;
