INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The services of the Gender and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) Sexual Harassment (SH) Specialists Individual Consultant, among others will include, but not limited to, the following:
• Ensure the Gender Equality and Female Empowerment Policies are applied throughout the activity.
• Identify possibility of Sexual Exploitation & Abuse (SEA)/Sexual Harassment (SH) occurrence in workplace.
• Prepare SEA/SH risk mitigation and response action plan.
• Work with project staff to ensure gender is appropriately integrated in all trainings.
• Strategize methods to monitor instances of gender disparities and gender-based violence.
• Integrate gender analysis and propose additional or alternative measures of gender-related outcomes and impact for all MEL work supported by the contract.
• Document successful activities and methodologies for gender integration.
• Prepare a guideline for reporting any incidence of SEA/SH.
• Provide training regarding mitigation of workplace harassment and sexual abuse.
• Build awareness about relevant laws, policies and guidelines of Bangladesh, the World Bank and relevant Development Partners.
• Other tasks contributing to meeting gender equity and women’s empowerment targets and goals.
• Oversee implementation of the SEA/SH Action Plan in line with the Project ESCP;
• Ensure that the project-level GRM is properly set up to receive, register and facilitate resolution of SEA/SH complaints, including through the referral of survivors to relevant gender-based violence service providers;
• Ensure the project-level GRMs provide safe, confidential and survivor-centered approach;
• Conduct training on SEA/SH risk management; SEA/SH and Code of Conduct, GRM, including labor and SE/SH GRM; and
• Ensure proper implementation of Code of Conduct, including relating to SEA/SH.
• Any other relevant task assigned by the project director. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Social Science/ Development Studies/ Women and Gender Studies, or related fields. Preference will be given to higher degree.
Work Experience:
• 15 years of working experience of which 10 years should substantially be related to Gender, Sexual Exploitation & Abuse and Sexual Harassment related services.
• Work experience with Government/Development Partner funded Projects and other relevant institutions will be an added advantage.
• Being able to work with multiple tasks of different background and be a good team member, strong interpersonal and should have good communication skills, commitment to team work and to work across disciplines.

Contract Duration: The duration of the service is 288 (Two Hundred Eighty-Eight) working days over a period of 24 (Twenty-Four) months intermittently (Average 12 (Twelve) working days per month) from the date of signing the contract. Possibility of extension of the service is subjected to DPP provision and satisfactory performance.
Remuneration: Negotiable (Vat and Tax will be deducted as per govt. rules and regulations)
