| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The Monitoring and Quality control Engineer : (Post-2): • He/She will work under the Project Director and Superintending Engineer concerned Region and in close collaboration with the Executive Engineer districts, the senior Assistant Engineer, Districts, Upazila Engineers, concerned Upazila. Duration (Months) 19 (Each)
• Support the Upazila Engineer to check/review the design/construction methods of the schemes under the project considering sub-soil conditions and all other design parameters. .
• Supervise all construction, rehabilitation and maintenance works of the project through frequent site inspection as per methods outputs and compliance with contract terms, measurement as well as laboratory and on-site testing facilities . Overall assist the Executive Engineer/Upazila Engineer for quality monitoring and supervision of construction works.
• Assist the Upazila engineer and executive engineer, districts to monitor and report on the physical and financial progress of all rural infrastructure schemes roads, bridges construction under the project .
• Review the existing LGED laboratory and on-site facilities. Staffing and procedures for quality control testing and where necessary recommend improvements.
• The structural Design Engineer:
He/She will assist the design unit of LGED for the detailed engineering design and preparation of bills of quantities and cost estimates for all bridges on rural road Design of :
i) Bridges
ii) Protective works of Road
iii) RCC Jetty
iv) Growth center/Rural Market. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

01 Monitoring and Quality control Engineer Minimum B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with 18 years experience in Construction and Maintenance of Rural Infrastructure ( roads, bridges, culverts , building, Markets) or at least a Diploma in Civil Engineering with 25 years experience in construction and maintenance Rural Infrastructure and minimum 03 years experience in dealing with soils and construction materials, design standards and specifications, quality control and testing procedures of rural infrastructure works. 2 (Two) 19 (Each)
02 Structural Design Engineer Minimum B.Sc. in Civil Engineering with at least 4 years experience as associate designer in planning and design of bridges and culverts and minimum 2 years specific experience as associate designer in structural design of bridges larger than 100m . 1 (One) 19

• Individual Consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedure set out in the PPR-2008.
• It is expected that the services will be commenced from December 2020 and shall be completed by June’2022.
• Interested consultants are requested to submit their expression of interest in accordance with the standard Application Forms which may be obtained from the office of the undersigned during normal office hour’s up to 14-10-2020
