INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The tasks of the consultant have given below:
a) Ensure proper functioning of local area networks and connectivity with external networks manages MIS hardware and equipment of the MoDMR.
b) Develop solutions to application problems to existing IT system and system administration issue.
c) Coordinate with, and refer major issues to, any firm connected with for system maintains (MIS).
d) Identify capacity gaps and contribute in conducting training activities at central and data level.
e) Assist in design and implement system security and data assurance.
f) Perform routine audits of systems and software.
g) Monitor all computer hardware trouble shooting supplied to field staff working in all Upazilas.
h) Support data migration from the existing (EGPP) MIS to the system under development.
i) Provide system analysis on MIS Platform developed by the ongoing Consultant and reporting on system maintenance management related to implementation of the MIS system.
j) Actively participate in technical meetings/discussions with various line ministries, counterparts, donors including the World Bank review missions; coordinate and harmonize with concerned stakeholders (DDM HQ and SAE/PIOs at upazila level) that are supporting MIS development and enhancements.
k) Frequent travel across the local level office at Upozila as to be required to have troubleshooting and solution on problem(s) with the PC in connection to data entry for MIS and local internet connection.
l) Carry out any other relevant periodic duties that may be assigned by the Project Director/concerned authority from time to time. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
a) At least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or information technology (IT) or any related degree from any recognized institution with proven experience in System Engineering.
b) Should have overall minimum 8 years professional experience with at least 3 (three) years of specific work experience in the area of system management, System analysis and System scoping for designing and implementing IT system, preferably in public sector.
c) Should have sound knowledge of IT hardware and equipment maintenance with clear understanding of server configuration and installation including firewall, routers and switches configuration.
d) Should have some knowledge of programming and or database management (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle, Dotnet Frame work, Java, C++ etc.) |
