| Brief Description of Assignment |

Shasthyo Surokhsha Karmasuchi (SSK) is the social health protection scheme developed and managed by the Health Economics Unit (HEU) of the MOHFW. This scheme is a model of social health Insurance / social health protection. Under the guidance of Line Director (LD), Health Economics and Financing (HEF) operational plan, and DG HEU, the consultant will require to support HEU in executing the following activities related to SSK in Dhaka City but not limited to: (i) Develop and redesign SSK concept for Dhaka city including Below Poverty Line (BPL) identification criteria, (ii). Participate and lead in preparing BPL household list, hospital empanelment, hospital readiness, Benefit Package, claim management, and clinical & financial audit, (iii) Conduct and organize consultation workshops and seminars, (iv). Prepare relevant documents and disseminate among relevant stakeholders at local and level, (v). Provide implementation, monitoring and evaluation support, (vi). Coordinate activities in close cooperation with the SSK Cell/HEU and (vii). Any other relevant work as assigned by SSK Cell/HEU |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
i) At least a MBBS or post-graduation degree in Public Health, Economics, Health Economics, Development Studies, Public Management or any other relevant field. ii) Having experience of at least 10 years in management/ supervisory level positions in recognized public/ private/ international agency. iii) Familiarity with current government health policies and priorities. iv) Candidate must also possess excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Bengali. v) Good understanding of the functions and responsibilities of the post, ability to work independently with minimum supervision. vi) Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a Team. vii) Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. viii) Excellent organizational and management skills and ability to carry out work in an efficient and timely manner.
Additional qualifications: i) Having experience in Urban Health service delivery system. ii) Extensive knowledge of the principles and theories of Social Health Insurance. iii) Having knowledge on management and statistical software (e.g., STATA, SPSS, Microsoft Project, Zira etc.). iv) Having doctoral degree in aforementioned fields from reputed institutes/universities |
