The main objective of the study is the agricultural development of the study area which would ultimately contribute to the country’s economic growth and upgrade the living standard of the people in the project area. The study aims to rehabilitate low lift pump irrigation projects, expand surface water irrigation facilities, efficient irrigation networks, expand irrigation command areas, ensure connectivity and conserve water and drought management. It also involves conducting an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for proposed interventions. |
